Chapter 11 ****Note: In this story Lucky is still working for Helena, she never slapped him or terminated his employment.**** Nikolas smiled all the way home after a heartfelt discussion with Lucky. *******Flashback******** Lucky sat stiffly in the bed, trying to clean the water off of him. Nikolas smiled and went in the bathroom to get paper towels. Nik: "So how are you feeling now?" Lucky shrugged. Lucky: "I'm doing ok I guess." Nikolas nodded and looked out the window. Lucky looked up from the mess and looked at Nikolas. Their eyes locked for a moment and both began to speak at the same time. Nik: "Lucky, I…" Lucky: "Nikolas…" They smiled. Lucky: "You first." Nik: "Ok." He took a deep breath. "When I saw how sick you were… it really got me thinking about us. I mean our relationship. We are brothers by blood, but nothing else. I would like to change that… I mean if you want to." He looked down and waited for Lucky to answer. Lucky sat in shock and looked at Nikolas. He wanted to be friends with him? Is that even possible? He smiled. Of course it was possible. Nikolas was a Cassadine… but he was also his brother. Lucky: "I would like that." Nikolas looked up, shock written all over his face. Nikolas: "Ok then… can I come by later today? You should probably sleep." Lucky nodded. Lucky: "Sure, see you then." Nikolas waved and walked out the door to head home, a big smile plastered on his face. ****Reality****** Nikolas stopped for a red light and looked over at the car next to him. That's strange he thought, he could have sworn he saw that person at the hospital. He shrugged it off and continued home. *********************** Luke groaned as he lied down in bed next to his wife. He looked over at her and smiled. He was one lucky man. Lucky… He would be the happiest man on earth if he could get his son back. It didn't matter if he hated him, as long as he survived. Luke drifted off to sleep with Lucky on his mind. *********************** Lucky's door opened slowly. The woman smiled and walked into the room. Lucky was peacefully sleeping. Helena: "Dear boy, this is not how it should be." She shook her head and smiled, placed a note in Lucky's hand, then left.
