Chapter 5: She isn’t dead Lulu gives Luke a smile. "What… what do you mean?" she asks innocently. Should she tell Luke? Maybe she should wait till they get home. "Lulu, sweetie, don’t play ‘innocent Lulu’." Luke smiled. "Dad, I promised Nikolas." Lulu confessed. "What did you promise Nikolas?" Luke became serious. "I promised that I would come back again." Lulu lied. "You are never going back to that ISLAND!" Luke shouted. "Dad, he’s my brother, and I can see him anytime I want!" Lulu cried. "You nor Lucky can take that away from me!" "Lulu, your lying aren’t you?" Luke asked, noticing Lulu never talked that way to him in her life. Lulu looked up and wiped her tears. "Dad…I’m sorry." She said softly. "This is the first time you lied to me Lulu, you didn’t promise Nikolas that you’d come back did you?" he asked. "No, dad I didn’t." Lulu sighed. "I told him that I’d keep the secret about Elizabeth Webber being alive." "What? She’s alive?" "Yes, dad." Lulu sighed again, "He told me horrible things dad!" she cried. "What happened Lulu?" "He wasn’t Nikky." Lulu looked away. "He was mean to me!" "What? Why?" "He told me that he wanted to kill Liz, because she wanted to leave him for Lucky." Lulu sniffled. "He hurt me, and told me that I wasn’t going to get off the island, so that I couldn’t tell Lucky and you about his secret." "I can’t believe he did this." Luke became furious. "Especially to Elizabeth and Lucky!" he looked at Lulu "Where is Elizabeth now?" "She’s missing dad, Nikolas threw her off the cliff, she could be dead." Lulu sighed sadly. "He said that he wanted to kill her, he said he had power when he hit her." "He hit her?" Luke asked. "Yes, after Alexandria was born, he hated Liz." "Who’s Alexandria?" Luke asked. Lulu became quiet, sure she told Nikolas’ secret about Liz, but she wasn’t sure about this secret about Liz and Nikolas having a baby. "Lulu? Who’s Alexandria?" Luke asked again. *+*+* Port Charles, New York… "Lucky, did you hear about Emily Quartermaine’s robbery?" Ruby asked, watching Lucky grieving over Liz, and sitting at their table. "Lucky? Lucky?" Ruby asked, "hello?" she approached him and shook him lightly. "Huh? What?" Lucky came back to reality. "Lucky, I asked if you knew about Emily’s robbery?" Ruby asked. "No…is she here?" he asked. "Lucky, no." Ruby gave up. "Go back to your grieving." She walked away going back to the counter. Lucky sighed sadly and looked out the window. Suddenly, Sarah, Derek, and a tall slender girl with strawberry blonde hair came into Kelly’s. "Lucky?" Sarah asked. Lucky turned around and saw Sarah. "Hey Sarah." he said softly. "Lucky, how are you?" Sarah asked. "I’m glad I found you, I was wondering, if you’d like to attend Liz’s memorial service tomorrow morning." "What? Did someone find a body?" he asked. "Oh, Lucky I forgot to tell you." Sarah sighed. "Nikolas, he’s a fugitive hiding somewhere, we can’t really locate him." Sarah sighed again. "Anyway, he was the one who killed Lizzie." "He killed Elizabeth, then I’ll kill him." Lucky made a fist. "How’d you find out?" "Looks like he had an obsession with her, we found a body locked up in the catacombs, it fit Lizzie’s description." Sarah explained. "It looks like she was held captive on Wyndemere, and then killed recently." "Oh my God this is my fault." Lucky placed his head down. "No, Lucky it’s not your fault." Sarah rubbed his shoulder. "Its mine. I didn’t believe about you saying about Liz being alive. If I did believe you, we could’ve worked together and found her sooner." Sarah felt tears fill her eyes. "She was beaten to death." "Sarah, she was alone on the docks, where Nikolas could get his paws on her!" he cried. "You didn’t know this was going to happen!" Sarah started to cry. Derek came over and held her hand. She stood up and wiped her tears. "I’m going there…if you want to go you can think about it and come to the cemetery tomorrow at ten." "Sarah, I’ll go." Lucky said softly. "Great." Sarah smiled. She looked at the girl behind her and laughed. "Lucky, I’m sorry this is Derek’s sister Marlene." She pointed out. "Nice to meet you." Marlene held out her hand. "Yeah…" Lucky held out his hand. "Sorry I’m not much company." "Oh, no need to apologize, I understand." She smiled. "Marlene is new to Port Charles, Derek and I were wondering if you’d like to show her around town." Sarah smiled. "I guess." Lucky managed to smile. "We have to go, go on and get acquainted." Sarah smiled. "Derek and I are going to help for the arrangements for tomorrow." She headed off, taking Derek’s hand, out of Kelly’s. *+*+* "Lulu, tell me who Alexandria is." Luke pleaded. "Nikolas is going to get mad, but since I can’t lie to you, I’ll tell you." Lulu sighed. "Alexandria is the daughter of Liz and Nikolas. She is the princess of the Cassadine heir, which is Nikolas." "You mean to tell me, Liz loved Nikolas?" "I don’t know, Nikolas was saying that he thought she loved him, but couldn’t get Lucky out of her heart." "He wanted to hurt Lucky." Luke said sternly. "I don’t think he meant to hurt Lucky, but Liz." Lulu explained. "Why?" "I don’t know." Lulu said quietly. ‘I can’t keep any secrets.’ *+*+* "So, you’re new in town?" Lucky asked. "Yeah…" she seemed annoyed. "Is there something wrong?" "I just feel like this is a whole set up, my brother and his wife think they can control my life." Marlene explained. "Why?" "Because I got my heart broken and Derek thinks he can fix it." she said. "Why did you get a broken heart?" "My four-year boyfriend and I were supposed to get married, we were the ‘high school sweethearts.’ Anyway, I go off to Madrid for my vacation, and when I come back." She sighed. "He was married." "What? Why’d he do that?" Lucky asked. "Sorry, am I butting in?" "No, this is actually helping." She smiled. "He said that he couldn’t wait for me, so he married his best friend." "The nerve of that guy, making you suffer like that." Lucky said. "Yeah, life sucks doesn’t it?" "You’re telling me, I left Port Charles for two years and I find out the girl, I was about to propose to, was murdered." Tears started forming his eyes. "Now, Sarah tells me she was murdered by my dreaded half brother." "God, I’m so sorry." Marlene said quietly. "Did you love her?" "With all my heart." Lucky tried not to cry. "I wanted to marry her, I wanted her to be the mother of my children." "That is so sad, how are you holding up?" Marlene asked. "Wait, I guess you’re not doing that well considering that outburst you had when Sarah was here." "Yeah, I always dream about her." Lucky looks at Marlene. "Every night before I go to bed, I think to myself ‘hey, I remember the day I told Liz ‘I love you’ for the first time’" "Were you considered the ‘high school sweethearts’?" she asked. "I guess you can say that." Lucky laughed, causing tears to roll down his cheeks. "Everyone would see us walking down the halls hand in hand and say ‘Look, there’s Mr. and Mrs. Spencer’" Marlene laughed "How cute" "Yeah, we were pretty cute." Lucky smiled. "Do you ever say to yourself ‘I’m going to move on?’?" Marlene asked. "No…I can’t really bring myself to say that…I blame myself for her death." Lucky looked down. "Lucky, you’ll move on." Marlene held his hand. "You will…" Lucky looked up at Marlene, would he ever move on? If he did, did that mean he would move on with Marlene?
