Chapter 38

At the Quartermaine mansion Katherine comes in to see Edward. Edward is happy to 
see her. He comes up to her and gives her a friendly kiss. She smiles at him. 
The two of them sit down 

Katherine: Hello Edward. What can I do for you? 

Edward: I wanted to see how you were doing? 

Katherine: I am doing fine Edward. But you didn't ask to see me just to see how 
I am. 

Edward: I have always cared for you Katherine. But I wanted to discuss a 
business matter. I was wondering if you would like to make a deal? 

Katherine: What kind of deal? 

Edward: You heard about what happened to Jax. 

Katherine: Yes that is too bad. 

Edward: I have spoken to the justice department. And I have arranged to get 
Jax's ELQ stock. And would you like to buy it. 

Ned comes into the room and hears everything. 

Ned: What! You can't do that Grandfather. 

Edward: Of course I can Ned. I bought the stock and want to sell it to 
Katherine. 

Ned: I will not accept her on the board. 

Edward: Then resign Ned. 

Ned: And put AJ in charge of ELQ. I will figure out how to stop you. 

Reginald comes into the room. He looks like he is going to be sick when he sees 
Katherine. 

Reginald: Ms. Scorpio is here. She wishes to see Mr. Ashton. 

Ned: Show her in. We will discuss this later. 

Robin comes into the room. Everyone notices that she looks different. She has a 
business look instead of the friendly look. She comes up to Ned. 

Robin: Hello Ned. I am glad that you could see me on such short notice. 

Ned: Please, sit down. What can I do for you? 

Robin tells him why she is there.
