Chapter 5

Robin and John were sitting at Luke's. John watched Robin as she took the power 
away from him. He wished that he could have protected her from this but that he 
had no choice. He was impressed when Robin was willing to retaliate against 
Moreno for the car bombing. She was able to do it even though she didn't like 
it. He knew that she would be good at it. John then brought up the commission 
meeting on Port Charles. He told her that she would be calming down Port 
Charles. Robin waited for him to tell her how she was supposed to do it. 

John: Before I tell you how I should tell you why Moreno is going after Jason. 
There is a vacuum in Port Charles and you will be filling it. 

Robin: Moreno wants to gain power by taking Jason's territory. 

John: Yes. He wants to join the commission. He thinks that by taking Jason's 
territory that it will get him on the commission. 

Robin: But by trying to kill me he hurts his chance. The one thing that will 
make the commission angry is trying to kill one of its members. 

John: Yes. He should of known of your connection to the commission. But there 
are some things that you should know. Robin. DO you know who Frank Smith was? 

Robin: Of course. Local mob boss for Port Charles. He ran the city. Luke was the 
one who got the evidence against him. He and Laura were on the run from him. 
Luke killed him and Sonny took over his organization and Jason is the one who 
currently runs it. 

John: How dumb of me. I keep forgetting how smart you are. Frank was a member of 
the Commission. When he went to jail he was still able to run things. He was 
transferred to another jail in 86. When that happened there was a vacuum. At 
first Bert Ramsey tried to fill it. But when he failed the Jerome's tried to 
take over. 

Robin: So that's why Uncle Duke came to Port Charles. 

John: Yes. They tried to take over Port Charles until Frank was able to retake 
power. When he did I made sure that the Jeromes were destroyed because of the 
pain they caused you and Anna. Frank was able to retake power until he died. 
When he died, Sonny took over the organization with Damian's help. The 
commission took a wait and see view of things. Sonny was able to take control 
and then expanded his power by going after Rivera. There was talk of asking him 
to join us. But he then decided to leave the organization. 

Robin: Moreno wants to take Frank's seat. In his mind the only way to do that is 
to get Jason's organization. Which means more violence. He can’t hurt me because 
of my ties to the commission. So that puts Carly, Emily and the other people 
close to him in danger. So how do I stop this from happening. 

John: You are going to get Franks seat and mine. the two seats will be made into 
one and the empty seat will go to an organization in Asia. We have wanted to 
expand into Asia. Moreno and Jason will be allowed to keep there territories but 
will have to report to you. 

Robin: So Jason will be working for me. Carly forces Jason to dump me and now I 
am back in his life. 

John notices Robin getting upset. He gives her a hug. 

John: I am sorry for this. 

Robin: I know but there is no choice. This is my life and I will have to deal 
with Jason. All right. When you send the warning to Moreno let him know that I 
demand a meeting with him at the No Name Club. Make it for the day after the 
bombing. Make it for lunch or dinner. 

John: All right. I will let him know that the Thatcher Organization demands a 
meeting on behalf of the commission. Any other order's Robin? 

Robin: No. So what are your plans Uncle John? 

John answers Robin's question.
