Chapter 60: "I Do…"

Sonny and Jason stood at the front of the church.  First came out the flower 
girl, Leslie Lu.  She smiled at her mommy and daddy as she passed by them at the 
front of the church. Then came in Emily, Lois and Robin. Outside the sanctuary, 
Brenda straitened out her dress and then looked to Mike.  "Will you do me the 
honors?"

Mike smiled and said, "Of course.

He took her arm and they went down the aisle.  Brenda looked over at Sonny, who 
grinned back at her, showing off his dimples. As most of the females in the 
chapel melted, Jax rolled his eyes. He was never going to like Sonny, he just 
knew it. Jerry was in the back of the church and decided to slip out.  He needed 
some air.

Miranda looked at Brenda's dress and whispered to Quinn, "White dress?  You 
gotta be kidding me…"

Quinn: Sh…

Meanwhile, most of the people were smiling or crying. Henry sat next to his 
mother and Elizabeth.  She started crying a little, so Henry handed her a 
handkerchief.  She blows her nose as Henry whispers to her, "By the way, it was 
all ready used."

Lizzie: *whispering* Ew…

Henry: Well, its been washed since then.

Lizzie: *rolls eyes* Only you would say something so sick and disgusting…

Henry: *smiles* Thanks.

Lizzie suppressed laughter as the wedding continues. Brenda reached the front 
and Mike gave her away to Sonny. They looked into each other’s eyes as the 
priest began.

Priest: We are gathered here today to join Michael Corinthos and Brenda Barrett 
in holy matrimony…

Jerry was standing outside the church looking around.  He couldn't get his mind 
off V, wondering what the heck had happened to her. Suddenly, he heard tires 
screeching in the parking lot.  Someone was sure in a hurry to get there.  He 
looked to the lot to see Venus running towards him.

Jerry: V?!

Venus: Jerry, where are So…

Jerry interrupted her with a hug.

Jerry: Thank God, I was worried about you.

Venus: Thanks, Jerry, but I need to know about Sonny and Brenda.

Jerry: *looks at her* Who cares about them?

Venus: I have to warn them.

Jerry: What about?

Venus: Long story.

Jerry: Well, Sonny and Bren are getting married right now.

Venus: Oh…  well I guess this can wait.

Jerry: Exactly, what is going on?

Venus: Well…  You know Rivera?

Priest: Do you Michael, take this woman, to be your lawfully wedded wife?  To 
have and to hold, in sickness and health, from this day forward?

Sonny: I do.

Brenda smiles as tears stream down her face.

Priest: And do you, Brenda, take this man, to be your husband? To have and to 
hole, in sickness and health, from this day forward?

Brenda: I do.

Priest: I now pronounce you husband and wife.  You may kiss the bride.

The people start to clap and cheer as Sonny pulls Brenda in for a long, 
passionate kiss.
