Chapter 48: Lost Children Bobbie was at the viewing window looking at where the baby once lay. The baby had died before she had even held it as her grandchild. Bobbie looked away, tears starting to form in her eyes. Nothing was right anymore. For all this time she had hated her daughter, her grandson was dead and she had no one she could really turn to. Felicia was out of town. Tony would be too awkward. Alan wouldn't understand. Luke had been a liar for over a year. No one else would really understand. Stefan: Barbara, what is troubling you? Bobbie looked over and saw Stefan. Bobbie: He's dead. Stefan: The child? Bobbie: Yes, the child. Stefan: I'm sorry for your loss. Bobbie: You should be! Stefan: Excuse me… Bobbie: If you had told me sooner maybe it would have been different… maybe the baby would have lived. Stefan: Barbara, no one could have prevented this. Bobbie nodded in agreement. He was right. How could he have prevented this? Bobbie then started crying and almost collapsed, but Stefan grabbed her just in time. ~^~ Jason stepped outside of Carly's room and noticed Sonny down the hall by the elevators. Jason went down to meet him. Jason: Hey. Sonny: How is she? Jason: The kid died a couple of hours ago. Sonny: She's pretty upset, I'm guessing. Jason: She's pretty shaken up. She's a little unresponsive. Sonny: I hate to have to do this, but I need you to do something. Jason: What is it? Sonny: Cassadine has a lead on Henry's whereabouts. I need you to check it out. Jason looked at the door to Carly's room and then back to Sonny. He was aware that Carly may need him, but Sonny needed him to do this. Finally, he made a decision. Jason: I'll do it, but first I have to make sure Carly will be okay. Sonny: All right. Jason: I'll call you in a couple of hours to get the details. ~^~ Quinn got off the hotel elevator and walked over to Alexis' door. It had been days since he had last scene his daughter and he couldn't believe he let his own anger and frustration get in the way of seeing his daughter. Even if it wasn't biological, he still loved Alexis as his own. He knocked on the door, but there was no answer. He would have left, but something inside of him urged him to go in. Quinn turned the handle and opened the door. He looked around the room and then there she was lying on the ground. There was a nearby coffee cup smashed on the floor. Quinn: Alexis! Quinn rushed down to her fallen body and checked for a pulse. Then he checked her breathing. She was breathing fine but her pulse was weak. Quinn rushed for the phone and called 911. ~^~ Miranda sat across from Helena drinking tea. Miranda: Do you think everything went according to plan? Helena: We will soon find out. By now she must have had the poison and someone will find her sooner or later. The poison takes a long time to take effect. If she is not found soon, then the matter is taken care of anyway. Miranda: How much longer are you going to keep me here? Helena put down her tea mug and had a sadistic smile on her face. Helena: As long as it takes. Miranda shuttered to think about how much Helena was enjoying her torture. Miranda couldn't believe she was listening to Helena's plans to dispose of the sister she hardly knew. Miranda: How is Henry doing? Helena frowned. Helena: Those two nincompoops have not contacted me since they captured him, but I will find out his whereabouts soon enough. Helena took another drink out of her tea. Where was Henry? ~^~ Sally was walking through the park, trying to think about what she could possibly do to help Henry. Trying to think of what she could have done to prevent this. No answers seemed to come to mind. Sally started going through her purse to find a picture of Henry when she bumped into someone. Her purse fell to the ground and stuff spilt out. They both said, "Excuse me." Sally bent down and started gathering everything together. Man: Let me help you with that. He bent down and helped her. When she got everything into her purse, they got up. Sally: Thanks. Sally looked at him. Sally: You look very familiar. Man: You might have seen me in the papers. My name's Scott Baldwin. Sally: Oh, right. Now I remember. I'm sorry you had to go through all that. Scott: I'm all right now. Rex Stanton is behind bars and I have my daughter back. Sally: I'm glad everything worked out for you. My name's Sally Corinthos. Aren't you Karen Cates' father? Scott: Yes, you know her? Sally: Yeah, I work with her on occasion. It was nice meeting you, Mr. Baldwin. Scott: Nice meeting you too, Sally. Sally smiled at him and then they walked away from each other.
