Chapter 18: A Family Thing

Jagger knocked on the door, but there was no answer. He was sure this was the 
right address.

Karen suddenly awoke when she heard the phone ring. Joe practically fell out of 
the bed. She picked it up.

Karen: Hello?

Rhonda: Is Jagger there yet?

Karen: Jagger?  What, he's coming over here?

Joe: (quietly) What?

Rhonda: He called me from the airport to get directions to your place.

Karen: Why didn't he just call me?

Rhonda: He said he wanted to surprise you. But I wanted to talk to you before he 
got over there…

Karen heard knocking on the door. She looked at Joe.

Karen: Mom, I'll have to talk you later, he's here, bye.

Karen hung up before she could answer back and jumped out of bed.

Jagger: (from hall) Karen, are you there?

Karen: Joe, quick, get dressed.

Joe gets on his jeans and Karen gathers the rest of his clothes. She hands them 
to him and then she pushes him out the patio door.

Karen: Jagger, I'm coming.

She closed the patio door and opened the front door.

Karen: Hi honey.

Jagger: Hey!

Jagger picked Karen up and hugged her.

Jagger: I missed you.

Karen: I missed you, too.

Jagger: *puts her down* Is something wrong?

Karen: No, why would you say that?

Jagger: What took you so long to answer the door?

Karen: Uh... I was in the bathroom and I couldn't hear you knocking.

Jagger: I'm sorry, I should have called first or come back when…

Karen: No, Jagger, it's fine. What are you doing here?

Jagger: I'm off the case and I'm transferring to PCPD.

Karen: Your moving here?

Jagger: Well, I'd think you'd be happy about it.

Karen: Of course I am, that's wonderful!

Karen hugs him, completely worried and lost.

Sally sat at Mike's bar.

Mike: So how's your son now?

Sally: He's fine. I grounded him for a month, but he's okay.

Mike: Just a month?

Sally: Well, big brother, what would you suggest?  No matter what I've tried, 
nothing seems to teach him not to take off on his own like this.

Mike: Well…

Sees Sonny and Brenda walking into the Recovery Room*

Mike: Sonny, Brenda!

Brenda: Hey Mike.

Sally looks at them.

Mike: Sonny, this is Sally.

Sonny looks at her and extends out his hand.

Sonny: Hello, Sally.

Sally: Sonny.... So, you're my nephew. I haven't seen you since you were a baby.

Mike looked to Brenda.

Mike: *to Sonny* Does she know?

Brenda: Yes. Hello Sally, I'm Brenda Barret, soon to be Mrs. Corinthos.

Sally: Hello, Brenda, it's nice to meet you.

Brenda: Did you find your son, yet?

Sally: Yes, he came home last night. Thanks for asking.

AJ drove Carly to the hospital, there they met Tony.

Carly: *to AJ* I hope Bobbie doesn't find us here, she's the last person I want 
to deal with right now.

AJ: Don't worry about it.

They walk up to Tony.

Tony: *coldly* You're fifteen minutes late.

AJ: I had some trouble getting the car started.

Tony: Well, are you ready to take the test, Carly, now that you're here?

Carly: Yes.

A nurse took her into the office. Tony and AJ stared at each other, in an 
awkward silent moment.

V: Could you just tell me what you wanted to meet me for?

Venus and Jerry were in the Outback at the bar.

Jerry: I have a proposition for you.

Venus: What is it?

Jerry: Well you used to be a cop and from what I've heard from my brother you 
have good detective skills.

Venus: Yeah, so?

Jerry: I would like you to look up any information you can on a certain 
civilian.

Venus: Who?

Jerry: Miranda Jameson.

Venus: Jax's ex-wife?

Jerry: Right.

Venus: Why her?  Why me, there are a lot more qualified people for this job.

Jerry: I have my reasons. I will pay you good, if that's what you're worried 
about.

Venus: No, I just don't understand why.

Jerry: I'll give you my reasons later, now will you help me?

Venus thought about this for a moment. She didn't know what else she could do, 
and she needed money.

Venus: Okay, I'll do it.

Nikolas walked Gina into her apartment. Nikolas drops her luggage onto her bed.

Gina: Nikolas, thanks for helping me with my luggage.

Nikolas: It is not problem. When should your arm be completely healed?

Gina: In a couple of weeks. Again, thanks for helping.

Nikolas: What was Jagger thinking leaving you alone with this stuff anyway.

Gina: He was anxious to get back to Karen and I insisted that he get there 
quick.

Nikolas: Why didn't you tell anyone where you were going, I was getting worried.

Gina: I didn't think anyone would notice.

Nikolas: Well, I did notice. I missed you.

Gina: I missed you too.

Nikolas and Gina hugged when Lizzie walked to the door.

Lizzie: Well, honey, should I be jealous?

Nikolas turned around.

Nikolas: *shrugs* Hello, Lizzie.

Lizzie: Ruby sent me up to see if you were settling in well. I can see you were.

Nikolas: *rolls eyes* Gina, this is Lizzie Webber, Lizzie, Gina Williams.

Gina: Hello.

Lizzie: Hey... well I gotta get to work, Nikolas, could I talk to you?

Nikolas: Sure.

Lizzie and Nikolas went into the hall.

Lizzie: I'm gonna have to break up with you. Sure, for you the whole jealousy 
thing is working great but with Lucky I am going to have to take a different 
approach. Besides, you don't need me to make Sarah jealous anyway.

Nikolas: Alright Lizzie. So our partnership is over?

Lizzie: As of now. Good bye, Nikolas. It was fun while it lasted.

Lizzie walked out and went to work.
