Chapter 17: End of a Long Night


Sonny:  Alexis?  What are you doing here?

Alexis: I came here to see Miranda. (Looks to Miranda) Could we speak… in 
private?

Miranda: Fine. Bye Sonny. Pleasure seeing you again.

Sonny:  Miranda.

Miranda left the penthouse with Alexis and Sonny shut the door. They go into the 
elevator and Miranda sees an angry look on Alexis' face.

Alexis: Why the hell did you leave my father's house and come here?

Miranda: Look, I caught Joseph, one of Sonny's bodyguards, spying on me and I 
wanted Sonny to stop. He might find out.

Alexis: The whole town is most likely going to find out you're Natasha Cassadine 
sooner or later.

Miranda: I know that's likely, but I'd still prefer Sonny to stay away.

Alexis: We'll deal with Sonny later, Helena's our top priority.

Miranda: So, how did my brother react?

Alexis: He was a bit hostile at first, but he I think he can be convinced to 
help protect you.

The elevator doors opened and they stepped out.

Alexis: Stefan went home, but he will be coming over in the morning.

Miranda: I wonder how he'll react to me.

Alexis: I'm not sure.

Miranda: Oh, how's Katherine Bell?

Alexis rolled her eyes.

Alexis: She's doing fine. She's walking again.

Miranda: I should see her, tell her the truth before she finds out from someone 
else.

Alexis: Right.

Deep in Alexis' mind, she thought: Great, I spend three months reading up on 
photography to doctor that stupid photograph and Little Miss Natasha picks NOW 
to come back to let her name become known. I better call George and let him know 
the whole thing's off.

Alexis shrugged as she started her car and they drove off.

Brenda: Why were you tailing her though?

Sonny:  Just a precaution. I don't want ANYTHING to ruin our plans.

Brenda: Don't worry, nothing will stand in our way. I just can't wait to become 
Mrs. Brenda Corinthos.

Sonny:  (sits next to her on the bed) I can't wait until you're my wife.

Brenda and Sonny kiss.

He got up to the counter and asked for his plane ticket for the late flight.

Clerk:  Name?

Person: Brett. Brett Rivera.

He got his ticket and sat back down. He took a picture out of his breast pocket 
and saw Sonny and Brenda.

Brett:  (to himself) I will avenge my father's death.

Carly slipped under the covers and tears came out of her eyes. This was the 
first night in awhile she went to bed without Tony. She couldn't bare the 
thought of him not loving her. She didn't know what she was going to do if he 
left her.

Gina walked out of the room and saw Jagger waiting for her.

Gina:   This was a fine night to spend out last night together. I'll miss you 
bro. Try to hurry home.

Jagger: Well, Gina, it turns out I may be able to head to Port Charles tomorrow.

Gina:   What?  That's great, you're not joking are you?

Jagger: No, I'm not.

Gina:   Did you call Karen?

Jagger: No, it's too late. I'll just surprise her tomorrow.
