Chapter 14: Big Moments

Sonny: Miranda, what a pleasure it is to see you again.

Miranda: Too bad I can't say the same.

Miranda looks around the Penthouse.  Looks the same as it did the last time she 
was there.  Then she hears the shower running.

Miranda: Oh, Brenda's here.  I knew that little slut was going to go back to 
you.

Sonny: Is that why you came here, to insult Brenda?  Because if it is, then you 
might as well leave.

Miranda: No, I came here because your stupid bodyguard, Joseph, has been 
following me.  I would like to know why.

Sonny: How about you tell me why you're back in Port Charles?  After Jax threw 
you out and it's too late to come forward about seeing Dorman at the airport 
that night, then what else is there?

Miranda: Nothing that's any of your business.

Sonny: If it's going to hurt Brenda in any way, then it is my business.

Miranda: Don't worry, me being here will have no effect on your precious Brenda.   
This has nothing to with Jax, this has nothing to do with you.

Sonny: Well then what does is have to do with?

Miranda: Why should I tell you?  Why do you want to know?

Sonny: Just curious... maybe I could help.

Miranda: Help?  I think you've helped enough.

Sonny: What does that mean?  Come on, Miranda, tell me, you know I'm going to 
find out anyway.

Miranda: Drop dead.

Brenda walked out of the bathroom wearing a white bathrobe.

Brenda: What's she doing here?

Stefan stomped into Quinn's house with Alexis behind her.

Stefan: Uncle?  Where are you?

Alexis: Stefan, could you please stop yelling?

Quinn walked through the door.

Quinn: Stefan.

Stefan: Uncle.

They both stared at each other.

Carly: Tony, I'm telling the truth!  Please believe me!

Tony: No.  I don't think I could ever trust you again.

Tony got out of the car and Carly got out after him.  He was hunched over the 
hood, leaning on it with his hands.  He closed his eyes tightly, not wanting to 
cry, but a few tears spilt over anyway.  Carly stood next to him.

Carly: Honey, please-

Tony put his hands on her arms and held on tightly.

Tony: Carly, is this my child?

Carly: Tony...

Tony: Tell me!

Carly: I don't know.

Tony loosened his grip and then stepped back.  He didn't know what to think.

Carly: It was one night.  That night we had that fight about Bobbie.  You
took off for the Brownstone and I was upset.  I went over to Jake's to see Jason 
and met AJ there.  Somehow we ended up making love and that was it.

Tony: So you both kept it from me all this time.

Carly: No, AJ didn't remember.  He blacked out.  That night meant nothing to me, 
Tony.

Tony: You lied to me, you lied to AJ.  You were going to keep his child away 
from him.

Carly: I told him a couple of days ago.  I setup an appointment with Dr. Newman 
to find out if it was his child or yours.  Tony, I'm sorry.  I would have told 
you if it were A.J’s.

Tony: Would you have?

Carly: Yes, I love you.

Tony didn't know what to say.

Nikolas walked through the conservatory to the stairs when the phone rang.  No 
one else was there so he picked it up.

Nikolas: Hello?

Person: Could I speak to Nikolas Cassadine?

Nikolas: This is he.

Person: I'm Jagger Cates, Gina's older brother.  She's here in San Francisco, 
she's been shot.

Nikolas: What? How? Is she all right?

Joe: Jagger's having an affair?

Karen: *crying* Yes.

Joe: I'm going to go to San Francisco and kill him.

Karen: No, Joe, don't do anything.  I suppose it's my fault anyway.

Joe: How is his cheating on you, your fault?

Karen: I was never really there.  I was always at school, leaving him alone with 
Fran.  Maybe there was something I was supposed to do.

Joe: Karen, that's crazy.

Karen pulls him closer and rests her head on his shoulder.

Karen: Joe, please stay.  Don't go anywhere, just stay here.
