Chapter 13: The Secret's Out

Carly looked around and saw they were pulled over on the side of the road and 
she could see that Tony was very upset about something.

Carly: Tony, what is it?

Tony: Oh my god... you're having an affair with AJ...

Carly: Tony, we've been over this, I told you-

Tony: Don't.

Carly: (Starting to get scared.)  What the hell happened?

Tony: Stop lying to me.

Carly: I'm not, Tony.  I swear.

Tony: Then why did you call out to him?

Carly: What are you talking about?

Carly looked into his eyes and then it hit her.  She must have said it in her 
sleep.

Tony: How long?

Carly: Tony-

Tony: How long!?

Carly felt she was backed up into a corner and had no idea what to do.

Stefan entered the conservatory where Alexis was already waiting.

Stefan: Were you waiting for me?

Alexis: Yes, there is something I need to discuss with you.

Stefan: Well, could it wait, I am meeting Katherine for dinner.

Alexis: This is a little more important.

Stefan: How important?

Alexis: This very important.

Stefan: What is it?

Alexis: Remember Natasha?

It took Stefan a moment but then it hit him.

Stefan: Aw, yes.  My father and his mistress's daughter.  What about her?

Alexis: She's alive.

Stefan: Excuse me?

Alexis: She is alive.  My father was protecting her from Helena.

Stefan: What kind of trick is this?

Alexis: This is no trick.

Stefan stood there, speechless.

Miranda was alone in the living room at the house Quinn was staying at.  Quinn 
had to leave and told her to stay in the house and to not let anyone in.

Miranda was starting to feel cold and trapped.  She wanted to get out of hiding 
but instead she was deeper then before and she dragged Quinn along with her.

She jumped when she heard a noise outside.  It was a small noise, but it scared 
her.  She looked out the window and out of the corner of her eye she could see 
someone watching her.  She didn't look at him directly, she did not want him to 
know she was aware of his presence.  She opened the window all the way up and 
walked away.  She walked over to the table and got a vase.  She turned off the 
lights and quietly and swiftly got back to the window.  The guy poked his head 
in far enough so that she could hit him over the head.

Person: Ow!

He fell back and hit the ground.  Miranda turned on the lights and looked to see 
who it was and couldn't believe it.

Miranda: JOSEPH!

Jerry: Well aren't you going to invite me in?

V: Oh, sure.

Jerry walked into V's apartment.

Jerry: This is a nice place you got yourself here.

V: Thank you, Mr. Jacks.

Jerry: I told you, Jerry.

V: Okay, Jerry.

He looked around and noticed a painting.

Jerry: Who did this?

V: I did.

Jerry: Wow... this is really good.  How much do you want for it?

V: What?  You want to buy it?

Jerry: Sure.

V: It's not for sell.

Jerry: Oh, shame.  Say, V, you wouldn't mind joining me for a drink?

V: No, I am currently out of a job.  I couldn't afford it.

Jerry: It'll be on me.

V: Oh no, I couldn't ask you to.

Jerry: I can afford it.

V: I would still prefer not to.

Jerry: It's for business purposes.

V: Business purposes?

Jerry: I'm offering a job.

V: Thanks, Mr. Ja- Jerry, but frankly I don't think it would be proper for me to 
except a job offer from you.

Jerry: What's so improper about it?  You don't even know what it is yet.

V: Fine, what is it?

Jerry: Well, you won't know until you join me for a drink.

V laughed.

V: Goodbye, Jerry.

Jerry: You want me to leave?

V: Yes, I'd prefer it.

Jerry: Wait, why don't you just hear me out.

Brenda walked in and saw Sonny sitting on the couch.

Brenda: Hey honey.

Sonny: Hey

Brenda sat next to him and started staring at him.

Sonny: What?

Brenda: Is something wrong?

Sonny: Oh, no, not at all.

Brenda: Sonny, be honest.

Sonny: Well, I'm expecting to hear from someone about uh... a business matter 
and I am still expecting a call.

Brenda: Oh... well, I'm going to take a shower. *Gets up*

Sonny: Oh, Brenda.  You didn't happen to see anyone familiar when you came in, 
did you?

Brenda: Like who?

Sonny: Nevermind.

Brenda: Okay...

Brenda went into the bathroom and a few minutes later he could hear the shower 
starting.  He got up and started to pace.  He couldn't help but wonder why 
Miranda was back.  He heard a knock on the door and expected it to be Joseph.

Sonny: *opening door* What took you so long? *he saw who it was* What are you 
doing here?

Miranda: How about you tell me why you're tailing me?

Miranda walked into penthouse and Sonny shut the door.
