Chapter 2: Reunited

Mike hugged his sister and then let her go.

Mike: Sally, where the hell have you been all this time?

Sally: Traveling.

Mike: For 20 years?  Why the hell haven't you contacted me or anyone else?

Sally: I'm sorry, but I haven't been able to find you until now.

Mike: Do you know about mom?

Sally: Yes. I went back about 10 years ago.  Mrs. Henderson told me she was 
dead.  I asked about you, but no one knew where you were... Mike, I'm sorry 
about taking off the way I did.

Mike: You broke our mother's heart.

Sally: I'm sorry about what I did, but there is nothing I can do to make up for 
it.

Mike: So how did you find me?

Sally: I just moved to Port Charles a few days ago.  I looked on the front page 
was Michael "Sonny" Corinthos.  I saw that he was your son, it mentioned the 
Recovery Room so I came right here to see if it was really you.  I miss you so 
much.

Mike: I missed you, too.

V: When did you ask that?

Jax: On the atoll.  Remember, I asked you and you said you would tell me as soon 
as we were rescued.

V smiled: You'll know soon enough.

Then the phone rang.  Jax went to pick it up.

Jax: Hello?

Brenda: Hey Jax, it's me.

Jax: Hello, Brenda.

V frowned.

Brenda: Sonny and me are free of all charges.

Jax: That's great. I'd think Marcus Taggert would have kept you in jail for a 
few more days.

Brenda: Valentine was able to get me off.

Jax: Well, good, both of us are cleared now.

V rolled her eyes and shook her head.

Brenda: I was just calling to let you know, bye.

Jax: Bye Brenda.

Jax hung up the phone and looked back to V.

Jax: Brenda has been cleared.

V: I heard.  I guess she and Sonny are pretty happy.

Jax frowned.  Sonny.

Jax: Yes, probably.  I just wish she wasn't with him.

V: She made her choice.

Jax: He's the reason she got in this whole mess in the first place.  As long as 
she's with him, she's not safe.

V looked away from Jax and started to remember Tiger Key.

Tin Man: Help, please help.

V: I'll go get something.

Sonny grabs her arm.

V: He's dying.

Sonny: He's going to pull you right in with you.

V: No.

Sonny: If he gets out, there's nothing stopping him from killing both of us.

Tin Man: Please...

Sonny: With him dead, Brenda and I can be safe.

The Tin Man went under and Sonny loosened his grip on V.  She stepped back, away 
from him.

Sonny: There.

V: I guess now your safe.

V walks away.

V: Tin Man and Rivera are dead, I'm sure she will be okay.

Jax: He's a criminal.  As long as he's free, as long Brenda loves him she'll 
always be in danger.

Sonny: You saved my life, I owe you one.

V: If it's just the same, I would rather end our acquaintance right now.

Sonny: Okay.

V: All I can see is him sinking into quicksand.

Sonny: He would have pulled you right in with him.

V: That doesn't make it any easier.  You maybe a charming, handsome man, but 
you're no better then he is.  I hope someone catches you some day.

Sonny: Well, at least your honest.

V: I have to get home, it's late.

V started to walk to the door but she almost tripped.  Jax caught her.

Jax: I think you better stay here.

V: Why, I can get home.

Jax: You can barely stay awake, how are you going to drive home.

V: Fine, I'll just sleep on the couch.

Mike and Sally sat down at one of the tables.

Mike: So, are you married?

Sally: No, I don't even have a boyfriend. All I have is my son.

Mike: You have a son?

Sally: His name is Henry.  He's in New Jersey staying with a friend, but he'll 
be here in a few days.  I can't wait for you to meet him.

Mike: How old is he?

Sally: 16 year old.

Mike: What about his father?

Sally looked down and frowned.

Sally: I don't know about his father.  I haven’t seen him since Henry was 
conceived.

Mike: Sorry.

Sally: Henry could have used a father figure in his life, but he's okay.  He 
hasn't even asked about his father.

Mike: Where are you staying?

Sally: Until everything gets moved into my house, I'm staying at the Port 
Charles Hotel.

Then, the phone rang.  Mike hurried to the phone, hoping it would be Sonny.

Mike: Hello?

Sonny: Hello Mike, it's me.

Mike: Sonny, are you all right?

Sonny: I'm okay.  It's over.  Me and Brenda are back in Port Charles, we're both 
at the Penthouse right now.

Mike: What about the charges?

Sonny: Mike, I'm tired right now, I'll tell you about that later.  I'm just 
calling you right now so you know I'm okay.

Mike: Alright, say hello to Brenda for me.

Sonny: I will, bye.

Mike: Bye.

He hung up the phone and he was finally at peace.

Sally: Was that your son?

Mike: Yes, he's all right.

Sally: That's good.  It's getting late.

Mike: Um, here (Mike grabbed a pad and started writing down his address and 
phone number) Call me if there is anything you need.  I would like to see you 
again, soon.

Sally: Okay, big bro.

Sally and Mike hugged.
